Opis Konkursu

The subject pf the contest is to design a mini-kiosk, which will be functioning as a lash bar and an exhibitor of make-up cosmetics and artificial eye lashes in select drug stores or perfumery chains. It will be featuring high quality products (one of the leading global brands in the segment), targeted to young women (16+ years old) interested in experimenting with their look. Functionally, an esthetician working at the kiosk in subject will consult, present the product to a customer, test it and/or apply it in the store. The goal of the project is to improve product visibility in the store and enrich customer experience.

These kiosks will be placed in stores where floor space is a very valuable asset, therefore ideal footprint should be limited to approximately one square meter (100 cm x 100 cm) or similar size, not including a stool. The height of the kiosk must be adequate to fit either a mirror or a LED computer screen with built-in camera (i.e. all-in-one computer) at the height of a person sitting in front of it. The height should not, however exceed 200 cm. The kiosk must have spaces (i.e. modular shelves, hangers) where products like lashes, mascaras or lipsticks can be stored and picked by a client – product dispenser function. Therefore, they must be easy to read and reach by an average woman. The kiosk can be plugged to a source of electrical power, so LED lighting may be used for practical or artistic reasons.

As this is a concept design contest, there are no required specific color schemes. Final branding will be disclosed to the author and applied onto the winning design only, as a part of this project. For visualization of the project, any major make-up and artificial lashes brand may be used (Kiss, Ardell, Eylure or other).

Attached pictures present examples of the existing kiosks having similar function in stores. They are to show how they are organized, but by no means are suggestion or requirement as to the size, shape, color etc.

The objective of this contest is to select an innovative, modern, and an eye-catching design.

    Hello! A very interesting contest, there are already many different ideas, I will present it in the near future. There are a couple of questions: What is the maximum length if the overall size of the kiosk is 1m x 1 m? Can the kiosk be oblong or still make it more compact? Do I need to provide a place for a sales assistant? Or can he crouch near the mirror when there are no customers? Thanks!!

      Hi, thanks for your first design. Generally your project shows that you understand the concept very well. We are looking for something more modern than stylish high-class. 1m x 1m is a suggested foot print, but it does not need include a seat for client or space for sales person.
