Opis Konkursu

Hackney Mixer is a DJ night in London. Hackney after the area - mixer due to a mix of musical styles.

Hackney is an area with lots of bars and clubs in East London. It is the creative and hipster side of town, and is more edgy and interesting. There is a particular Shoreditch Triangle (map included in pictures called jaguar shoes), where the bars and clubs are - and it makes an interesting shape on the maps that could be incorporated into the logo.

Hackney Mixer is a club night that has a 'mix' of danceable music styles and about 5 DJs through the night, taking place once a month. Our DJs are new to the scene and looking to establish themselves.

The music we play is a mix of new and familiar - but then also open up people eyes to songs and music they don't know they love yet. We don't place house music, and it is generally focused on more wester styles -such as house, techno, disco - rarely R'nB, hip hop, latin. We play at different venues, and have different DJs.

We need a logo to put on our flyers, and onto instagram feeds so that people know that it's Hackney Mixer.

We want to be clean and bright - to encourage as many people to come along on the nights, and the logo has to work on both print and digital media.

About Hackney Mixer:
- Running monthly for about a year
- Monthly night + ad hoc nights if venues request
- Celebrate new talent, generally 1-2 new DJs from Point Blank music school each time
- Mix of dance music genres: generally house (all kinds), disco and techno
- Fun not too dark, not taking ourselves too seriously (being a welcoming start for new DJs)

Our existing logo is included - but isn't very flexible and a bit dark. i have included over images that we like for reference.
