I usually had two or three clients simultaneously and, except for one week, I was never out of work. Most of my writing was for the medical electronics industry in Silicon Valley, but I also worked in the industrial realm. My first job position after having completed my Doctoral program at Berkeley was as a control systems engineer for Kaiser Aluminum. I also worked for G.E. Aerospace as a subcontractor to Livermore Labs, where I got my Secret and Top Secret clearance. In 2012, my wife and I decided to move to Ecuador. a beautiful country. We had a good time there. I learned Spanish and taught English to aspiring young students (for free). In 2022, we returned to the United States and settled in Alamogordo, New Mexico, primarily for more comprehensive medical coverage than what was available in Ecuador. Now that we are back in the U.S., I am returning to the workforce. My experiences have broadened my perspective and made me a better writer than ever before.
