I’m putting together a new title and need a streamlined Game Design Document that lets investors, artists, and engineers immediately grasp the vision. The document only has to cover two core sections: • Game Overview – a concise but inspiring snapshot of the theme, target audience, platform, genre and unique selling points. • Game Mechanics – an easy-to-read outline of the core loop, controls, win/lose conditions, progression and any special systems, kept at the “basic concepts and rules” level. No deep algorithms or balance spreadsheets are required—clarity and readability come first. Feel free to weave in simple diagrams or tables where they help, but keep the wording lean.
