Students are required to analyze the process of the Human Resource Department in any selected organization and attempt to the following tasks; 1. Discuss the range of decisions to be taken by the staff at the particular department [LO 1.1] 2. Select one decision out of the above and examine the information and knowledge needed to ensure effective decision taking [LO 1.2] 3. Assess internal and external sources of those information and understanding [LO 1.3] 4. Justify recommendations for the improvement of information and knowledge needs for above decision making. [LO 1.4] 5. Identify stakeholders for the above decision-making process. Use Mendelow's power/interest grid for prioritizing those stakeholders. Identify strategies to make contact with those identified and develop business relationships [LO 2.2] 7. Identify strategies to involve those identified in the decision making as appropriate [LO 2.3] 8. Design strategies for the improvement of personal networking to widen involvement in the above decision making process [LO 2.4] 9. Report on the existing approaches used by the particular department to the collection, formatting, storage and dissemination of information and knowledge mentioned in part (1)-b [LO 4.1] 10. Carry out/Suggest appropriate changes to improve the collection, formatting, storage and dissemination of information and knowledge [LO 4.2] 11. Create an action plan to implement a strategy to improve access to systems of information and knowledge. [LO 4.3] Students must prepare a report not exceeding 3000 words by covering above outcomes and submit it
