QUESTION: Critically discuss the challenges of enacting HR practices and managing people in the context of local government. In your answer, consider at least three factors covered in the seminars this semester which are (culture, best practice/best fit, Front Line Managers, HR architecture, employee discretionary behaviour). INSTRUCTIONS: 1. A clear introduction , body and conclusion to be included in the essay 2. Your answer should be approximately 1500 words (maximum). 3. The completed assignment MUST include the completed cover sheet and the reference list along with the answer. 4. Assignments should be in Ariel, 11 font, 1.5 spacing with appropriate margins. 5. The 1500 word limit must be adhered to within the acceptable range of + or – 10 per cent. 6. A minimum of six references, at least three of which must be peer reviewed academic journal articles is required. ( I have uploaded four reference articles which you may use) 7. Normal referencing using the School of Business Harvard system MUST be used. This includes appropriate in-text citations and a reference list at the end. 8. This is an individual assessment task – if a submitted response is assessed as not being the work of a single author then academic misconduct rules apply.
