Build iPhone and Android Application

Overview The application we want to develop is an advanced multi-store grocery list that should be easy for the user to add an item to the list. Goals Instead of a single list, we need to maintain multiple lists - one for each store. For example the user can maintain a list of items he intends to purchase at Store 1, another list at Store 2, and third list at Store 3. For now we think 3 lists should be good enough. We need to provide pictures instead of name. For e.g. the list that contains tomato, onion and carrot, should show the pictures of tomato, onion and carrot. The list should be available on multiple devices. For eg, when the user uses a tablet to add the list at home, it should be available in the cell phone when he access it in the shop. The list should also be shareable among family and friends. For eg, wife or mother can enter the list at home and husband or son can retrieve it while going for shopping. We want the project to be delivered in two phases: Phase 1 - Android OS Phase 2 - iOS Specifications Our app should have the following features. Other ideas in the design and look of the app are welcome. Four tabs at the top - Items, List-1, List-2 and List-3. Items - This tabs should contain various group of tabs on the left side. This is a global list which contains all the items in the market. See Requirement 2 for the side tabs List 1, List 2 & List 3- This tab will contain the list of items the user wants to buy in Store 1. We want the tab to be editable so that the user can add the store name. When an item is purchased, clicking on the item should have a tick mark. Tabs on the left side for grocery groups - Vegetables, Fruits, Leaves, Frozen Foods, Dairy, Drinks, Seasonal, Cleaning Supplies, etc. We may add more tabs in the future. In that case the tabs should be scrollable. It will be nice to have an editable feature. Side tabs should be available only when the Items tab is selected at the top. The items should have the pictures of the items. If all the items are not able to fit in a single page of a tab, we can use multiple pages. The items should be in alphabetically sorted order. We need these items and pictures to be editable. The list should be sharable both with the same user with different devices and with someone else in the family. For this to happen, we want the database to be maintained in a google docs, drop-box or some other cloud storage in the spreadsheet format. The user should be able to check if an item is already purchased and the date it was purchased. This should be done both inside the app as well as by retrieving the google docs. Should be able to store the receipt by taking the picture and storing it. The name of the file should be in date_store_time format. We want all the source-code, pictures and any other materials used for the app. The ownership of all the materials should belong to us.
