10 Tips To Groom Your Dog
Dog grooming includes bathing and cleaning the coat, nail clipping, brushing the teeth, cleaning the eyes and ears. Your pooch may not like being groomed and might even put up a struggle before the session. The following tips will help you make him clean and healthy.
1. Make a list of the things that you need to groom your dog. Find some things within the house first before buying. Go to discount stores for cheap grooming supplies.
2. Relax and prepare your dog for his bath. Most dogs do not like taking a bath, so he needs to be prepared.
3. Place your grooming tools within easy reach. You wouldn’t want your doggie to escape from the tub as you are reaching for something, and he would be chased through the house.
4. Secure the dog with his leash, so you will not worry about him launching from the tub. It would be dangerous for your pet to be doing that, so leave his collar on and tie him to the handrail or the taps.
5. Give your dog a shower and save on water. A bath will require so much water, compared to a shower. Test the water temperature first, as you would do with a young child. Be extra careful when shampooing and rinsing him; protect his eyes and ears from the soap and water.
6. After the bath, set your dog up on the table to perform the other tasks: drying, cleaning the eyes and ears, clipping the nails, and brushing his fur
