This project is for the following.
We are building a tracked vehicle that will monitor a cattle farm. The vehicle will drive a predetermined route every day and night via waypoints. we need the ability to remotely update the route (update the waypoints) to adjust for different kinds of tasks. The area has no cell phone coverage and so a satellite modem must be used.
So, you must have experience with programming Arduino and knowledge of modem AT commands, etc.
Currently we are using ardupilot (arduino mega) with a program called Mission Planner.
This is a very specific project that will probably only generate a few legitimate bids.
In you bid, explain to us:
1. your experience with UAVs and other autonomous craft
2. Your experience with Arduino or Rpi
3. how you would go about this project
The project will be paid out as follows:
If chosen, the programmer will receive further instructions
After the first set of workable code is delivered we will release partial payment - Workable code means we can send and receive to the rover via satellite modem but there are still bugs - cannot complete 5 successful waypoint changes/updates.
Once final code is delivered and approved to be working by us = final payment- Final code means that we can send and receive data from the Autonomous rover with the satellite modem and can adjust waypoints remotely. The must be no crashes of the system due to code. 5 successful waypoint changes will be considered final code
A 10% bonus will be awarded for quick turnaround and accurate code
