All in large engineering environments. Proposal: Your best bet is to use a cross compiler to try and build this code for Windows; but it may or may not work "out of the box", depending on how many POSIX system headers the code uses and so on. Generating a Visual Studio project should be less of a priority; compared to getting the code to build using MinGW or MSys2(i.e cross compilers for Windows).
