Building a high-quality 3D model from provided default scans using Matlab
- Calibration
- Projection
- Triangulation of mesh
- Surface reconstruction
- Mesh clean up and smoothing
- Mesh alignment
- Combining meshes into final model
- Rendering final model and adding color
Possible algorithms used:
For mesh cleaning and scan alignment
For
each pair of gray images
Diff = absolute difference of these two for each pixel
If above threshold: save
AND this result with previous result to remove 0s
Store result
End
Take array of results and find graydecoded values from binary
Use these points to triangulate and find set of points.
Perform Delaunay triangulation on these set of points
Remove points outside a certain barrier by rotating and translating
them back to camera coordinates
Then reconstruct the points back to original image
Output result in 3D
- Mesh cleaning using ICP algorithm
- Combining meshes into a final model using Poisson reconstruction
Hi,
I had done MS in Digital image Processing. Also I had several years of experience in Digital image processing using matlab. I had worked on several projects related to digital image processing. I can do this project for you.
Kind regards,
Hi there!
hope you are having a great week-end!
I am computer vision scientist working on 3D reconstruction from 2D views. I have experience in matlab and mesh processing. I have also several publications in 3D reconstruction field. I am excited to know more about your project!
Looking forward to hear from you
Best
Hi Sir, I already have a project that I made a while ago which takes 2D scans of CT scan images and converts them to 3D which user can rotate and interact with and also you can change the colors and there are several other features as well. But its in Java 3D. If you are interested you can ping me, i will send you its video demo (In which it takes 2D scanned CT images of Brain and converts them to 3D) and you can also send me your CT images and I will show you their conversion to 3D with the project I have as well and we can reduce the project budget as well if you are willing to use Java. Awaiting reply. Thanks
PS: The project is not yet sold to anyone as it was one of my university projects.
