I have seen this problem before and have coded for similar problems before. I can do a complete object oriented code for the same complete with classes. As for polymorphism, there will be function overloading and some form of inheritance when we have to implement the various hazards in the game. As for the AI, there can be a separate module altogether that plays the game itself with some delays in between. I'll first send you the basic code and then work on that I am new here and am looking to make a name for myself. I won't disappoint :)
