I run a small business in Australia. As part of my licensing requirements as an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) holder, I'm required to submit my annual accounts to the corporate regulator (Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)). The accounts are required to be audited in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards. The accounts comply with Australian Accounting Standards - Reduced Disclosure Requirements and the Corporations Regulations 2001. A form FS71 is also required to be completed by the auditor and submitted to ASIC as part of the annual filing.
I prepare the accounts and tax return.
Attached is a pro forma of the accounts (as prepared for the 2013 financial year) along with the blank FS71 form. A statement of cash flows would be added for 2014 and subsequent years accounts.
The business is run by the key person with 4 associated parties (2 full time, 2 casual). It is a business with an annual turnover under USD 1 million. It is run from a home office, has a single client and has minimal transactions (eg monthly ICT costs, regular transport costs, quarterly invoices and the like). A very simple business.
The business has a year end of 30 June. Company filings are required by 31 October. Expect the job to start around 20 August each year.
I am seeking quotes for conducting the audit work each year starting 2014.
