Hi, thank you for the clear job description. I am going to provide you with the solution that serves your business needs. You will be able to automate generating correspondence, Searching this correspondence and make followups easily. My proposed solution will be based on Microsoft Office 2010 or 2013 (your choice) I am going to use Access for storing lists of customers, teams, links to correspondence, searching, etc Word will be used to manage default templates. Default templates will be automatically populated from Access lists; your team will be able to edit these templates. Templates and letters will be stored to a shared folder, however it will be linked to the Access database so you can pull it out once needed with a single click. I have not seen a need to manage emails, however I think sooner or later you will need it. In that case I am going to link Access to outlook in case you want to send letters by email. I will achieve office automation using my VBA skills that I have been using for more that 15 years. I will update you during the development of this solution on a regular basis so you will have the chance to ask for tweaks and you can add requirements as we move forwards in the development of this solution. Hi, I am new to Freelancer and I am interest in gaining a good reputation. Which is why I put in the min bid and allowed 10 days to cover any additional requirements not in the description. I would suggest developing an Access database. The facility to search by customer ID or name would be straight forward and maintaining a history for each customers past calls could easily be retrieved. From what you listed I would expect 2 primary screens: 1) customer maintenance 2) Call log the first would allow users to update add customer details, while the second would be to log calls and generate the letters/emails. Assuming a known customer calls the user would be presented with a screen that allows the user to search for the customers details and have the option to ask security questions to confirm the correct customer detail. If a new customer calls then their details can be recorded. Once the customer is confirmed a list of past logged calls will be available for review. And finally the option to select a department/ category and somewhere to record any additional details. Technically I have 15+ years developing VB and database applications and I have developed numerous excel applications for various requirements. Hello, Thanks for considerme for this job. My proposal is to do this in Excel, if you have office this means you won't have any costs related to software purchase. Each team/category template can be stored in different files and you can have a main letter creator with drop downs that will populate your final letter. I have 5+ years experience on creating complex Excel reports, with VBA programming (evaluated top 10% in upwork). My focus is to create reports that are functional and user-friendly, always with a good, professional design. I've worked for a multinational company creating complex reports (for sales, productivity, time management, etc.) I have experience working with international teams and always focus on client satisfaction. I don't have a portafolio, because I became a freelancer recently. On my previous job due to confidentiallity agreements I wasn't able to take screenshots nor make a copy for my self of any of my projects. Thank you for you consideration

I can develop a web application with ruby on rails and mysql. Search feature will be developed in a way that whatever the keyword is entered, it is looked in all fields of customer table and return all records containing the entered keyword in any of the fields. The software I use are opens source ones.
