Correct image distortion in java/ Camera calibration
A source image is distorted (perspective, lens optic, pincushion and barrel - distortion). There is a chess board image with the same distortion for a calibration. The distorted source image should be straightened by a calibration to a target image. I’m open for suggestions for this standard image processing job.
1.) Calculate a calibration by using the chess board image (OpenCV)
2.) Use the calibration to undistorded and rectified the source image to a target image
The main functions could look like this:
Calibration calibration = CalcCalibration([login to view URL] CalibrationImage)
[login to view URL] TargetImage = Distort([login to view URL] SourceImage, Calibration calibration)
Additional Information:
You can use the OpenCV / JavaOpenCV calibration to Undistorded and Rectified ([login to view URL]~noahKuntz/[login to view URL])
Invisible areas can be filled black (0x000000)
The straightened process should be efficient and calculate only for each target image pixel.
The calibration data can be a formula or a conversion table.
There are sample images to test your solution. You can use free libraries which can be used in noncommercial or commercial way. Like OpenCV An image (1024x786pix) should be un distorted in less than 3 seconds.
You have to test your solution.
