I am currently involved in a geomapping project, where we use these resources (Google Maps and Google Street View) to draw the property and built area outlines. The project involves an update in the built area tax for the city's government, so we are required to have utmost caution and precision when drawing buildings. We also have to pay extra attention to houses with eaves on them, since these do not count as a built area, we have to remove them from the drawing, which includes good analitic view of the building on both Google Maps and Google Street View.
