Hello there, I reviewed the access database you shared and would like to inform you that I have created similar setups in Excel in the past. One of them was almost on the similar lines. It was for a US based equipment maintenance company and it had similar forms to record the steps/risks and report generation features. Since, your database also has reporting capabilities and you want to move away from access, we may use either excel itself or a combination of Excel and Word as well. I understand your database well and have a clear idea on how this should be converted to excel for easy use and maintenance. I do have a few queries though which will help me suggest a very effective system for your purpose. I am an Excel expert highly proficient in VBA macros; my previous experience has involved delivering multiple Excel VBA projects to numerous clients including FTSE100 based companies. I have experience of replicating Access (Relational DB) functionality in Excel and believe that Excel is a far superior environment for reporting tools. I'm also British so nothing will get lost in translation. There seems to be something missing from this tool - mainly the ability to add in new locations and select from existing Risks (and add new ones). To me the workflow would be to add a new location, some data about it and then select from existing risks to speed up the operation of risk assessment. I have a toolkit of VBA that means I can deliver this to you quickly and in an amendable format; What version of Excel are you using? Upon delivery I would also offer 2 hours of email support in the first month to maintain and guide you through any modifications you would want to make.
