Use some macros or formulas to clean the data in my workbook.
I have a workbook with 45288 rows in it.
There are only a few column.
I require someone to:
Duplicate the Author Metadeta column, so that there is an Author Metadata column as well as an Author column.
Then, in the new Author column, someone will need to run some formulas or scripts to make sure that there is only one name in there.
For example, some fields have the illustrator's name along with the authors name:
i.e H. de Graffigny; illustrated by Ferdinand Raffin
this should be changed to only H. de Graffigny
Most of the data can be delimited by semicolon, comma, full stop etc. However, not all of the data is like this and someone will need to carefully check that there is only ONE NAME in the Author field.
If you see a field that has DUPLICATE or SKIP in the workbook you can move on to the next row. The DUPLICATE or SKIP field is shown in red and replaces the title's name.
