We are creating a Wordpress website that will use a social aspect where users can log in and interact with a database in different ways.
The problem is we don’t have a way to show this 5000 item database in the best way possible.
That’s where you come in.
We need a plugin that can handle a large database of items divided into brands and will let the user pick items from this database and add them to a personal database.
We considered using a Wordpress Catalog plugin, but can’t find anything to fit our needs. The catalog plugin would work, but there’s no way for users to have their own catalog that they can access anytime they log onto the site.
It’s possible that this could just be a hack of a current plugin, or it might have to be completely redone. We would need to talk for you to let us know your process and to decide what you think will work best for this.
The plugin, in either way it has to be built needs to have some features for the users:
-Add items from the main database into their personal databases
-Multiple personal databases
-Ability to write notes on certain items
-Ability to move/automatically move items from one database to another
These are just a couple things. It’s a general list, but we only want to share what is needed right now in the proposal, we will go into more detail when we select a freelancer.
Something similar to what we are looking for is [url removed, login to view] Our website isn’t necessarily going to be about wine, but the concept is the same. Social aspects, personal databases, notes on items, etc.
We are also going to be compressing this website into an app with the help of PhoneGap and Apppresser. So it will need to work with that.
