We would like a plugin development to manage author names on articles. Right now Joomla does not display author names for us since we do not have them. Going forward I would like for the plugin to integrate with Joomla and work this way. Default setting is no author name and left blank. Other settings are a drop down or pre-set authors we can edit/change, as well as a custom option.
