Hey I'm Whitney Simpkins and I am a Alumni of Savannah College of Art and Design. I graduated with a B.F.A. in Fashion Design and minor in Fashion Merchandising and Management. I discovered what area of fashion I want to work with which is Bridalwear. Bridalwear is a a wonderful opportunity to make a brides dreams come true through ethereal designs. I want every bride to feel like her most beautiful self in my designs. A reoccurring theme in my designs are nature , art movements, interior design and historical references. I love nature because of how God designed it and love to use it in fashion. I also like to look at historic costume to see the different details used in making the garments and transforming it to modern use. My fashion style is "whimsical" because its playful and carefree. In all my collections expresses this style. When clients where my garments I want them to feel like they are in another world with a fantasy-like touch to their look that will make them standout. After graduation I would love to work with Marchesa, Vera Wang, Elie Saab, Monique Lhuillier, Heidi Elnora and then eventually open my own bridalwear house.
