Automation of counselling procedure

In this project, there would be professors that would be handling around 30 students each. each professor would prepare an excel sheet containing the academic details of students like marks in different tests conducted throughout the semester, their attendances for each subject(say 6 subjects).

Single excel sheet must contain around 30 students like ID numbers, Names, section, marks in different tests for each subject and the respective attendances.

the professors must be able to upload that excel sheet so that the data in excel sheet is stored into the database(database used must be derby database) by detecting the column name in the excel file and matching it with the database column name. The project must strictly be done using jsp and and the back end must be derby database only. the data entered in the database from excel sheet, then must be retrieved to create reports of individual students and printing them.
