The work involves illustrating a fantasy picture book for 8 to 12 year-old readers. I am seeking a detailed cover illustration and a series of up to 20 vignettes for the book’s content. The number of vignettes remains to be finalized at this time. The work will involve developing a new and attractive interpretation of existing fantasy creatures (orks and goblins.) I have a certain vision in mind. However I intend this process to be collaborative, and will consider artist input in order to develop the most compelling book possible. Credit for illustration work will be noted in-book. Bidders are to include a sample of their work illustrating their vision for an ork inspired from the Thinking Man ([login to view URL]). Concept sketches are sufficient for this purpose. Links to portfolios to provide representative style references will be accepted. Project budget includes copyright, ISBN registry, illustration, and other costs.
