Arduino: Porting ESP8266 Library to custom board

Hello, Is custom board with atmel MCU? Is it arduino compatible, or another tool-chain/compiler? I can start today and can do code for arduino, avr-gcc (or Atmel Studio), and some others. I don't have ready to show library for arduino. But I often read datasheet chips and change libraries for my own needs.

Hi, Please detail some more so that I can suggest better way to do it. I do have plenty of SDK level working experience in ESP8266 as well as many of the available micro controllers. So if you please give me more details about the exact requirement then can suggest you better alternative to reduce the material cost and to make it more suitable for the purpose.
