If cost is your primary consideration, then my bid will not be awarded the project. The project you describe can be very intensive if the application is sufficiently large. My bid would convert a DB of 30 tables. Any larger then I would need to agree to a price for you. I have all the skills to complete this project accurately and deliver a functioning product. Are stored procedures used, views, are their complex queries used in the code? All of these will need to be discovered. What i understand from the description is I just need to create existing objects viz. tables,views,keys etc implemented in Oracle platform to sql database and then reconfigure application to use new sql database. It would be better and cost effective if i will be given a documentation of existing Oracle db. If data also needs to be migrated, I would use SSIS for this purpose. My steps would be: 1. Analyze Oracle db and data size. 2. Analyze front end application to see if Db structure can be further modified. 3. Create full structured DB on sql server desired version 4. migrate data(if required) as a one time activity 5. Modify application to use sql db. 6. deliver physical code files and deployment guide.
