AVI to OCR

From an MS Access flat format database, a look up with certain variables is made to access a file. i.e. the file location and name is found in the DB. The file type is in an AVI format. The application must be able to retrive the AVI file where each frame is seperated and passed through an OCR, looking for machine characters. The maximum machine characters are about 30. When comparing the OCR in the addtional frames from the avi, the repetitive OCR characters are discarded. These OCR characters are then stored in another database, along with certain values from the lookup database. From a third database, the values in the 2nd database are compared and if there is a match, then that information must be delivered in a pop up screen. The application needs to run on MS W2K or XP workstation, it can be in Visual Basic, Visual C++ or Delphi. Database formats are MS Access. The OCR is preferable a public domain /freeware type (other OCR suggestions are welcome.)NB: Application must behave as a background service. To ensure quicker coding time, icons and graphics can be left out / minimal. Once job is accepted, I will produce the sample databases, with the AVI files and a flow chart as to what is required. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 3) Source code must be in MS Visual C++, Visual Basic or Delphi 4) Must be able to compile correctly on our local machines. 5) Properly commented. ## Platform Microsoft Windows 2000 professional or Windows XP workstation Source code is to be written in either Microsoft Visual Basic 6 or Visual C++ Database formats are Microsoft Access, flat file ## Deadline information Beta version to be completed on the 24th of November, with addtional $100 bonus.
