The coder must be familiar creating Acrobat Exchange plugins. Their SDK is available from adobe.com. I believe programmers use c to compile plugins created with the SDK. This Acrobat plug-in must be capable of erasing pixels on a scanned PDF page like an eraser on a black board. The plug-in must be a .api file that can be placed in the Acrobat/plug_ins folder. When the user runs acrobat, there should be a menu option under the Plug-Ins menu called "Scan Erase Tool". When the user selects the "Scan Erase Tool", the mouse should change to some sort of eraser mouse pointer. As the user clicks and holds the mouse button while the "Scan Erase Tool" is selected, pixels under the eraser are changed to white. If the user makes any changes, the Acrobat flag that specifies the file has been changed should be set. So if this is the only change to the file, when the user tries to close the file, the user is asked if he would like to save it. A bonus may be delivered if the Undo menu option has the ability to undo the last erase action performed. This may be in a "version 2"
