ASP.NET Query Interface

Our firm provides Internet tools to our users that allow them to access, edit, query and report off of a secure, encrypted SQL Server 2005 database. These tools need to be able to work effectively with no downloaded controls, as many of our users are government personnel with no admin rights on their computers, and with fairly restrictive firewalls, etc. Currently, one of the tools we offer to advanced users is an Active X query interface. We need to upgrade this tool for a variety of reasons, including limitations in functionality, but primarily because we need to get away from the downloaded control. Please note in the Deliverables Requirement that your bid will need to include complete documentation of your code, as well as detailed, formal written instructions of the deployment and maintenance (if necessary) of the application. In addition to overall cost of the project, we will be evaluating bids based on the coder’s experience, recommended approach and suggested design for the query interface. Information provided during the bidding process will be thoroughly reviewed and considered. Please ask questions if necessary! Thank you ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
