I need assistance with a Excel Spreadsheet. Spreadsheet is available at <[login to view URL]>
Each employee is paid a monthly commission based on Total Fees and Non-Fees (Cell E29). There are seven threshold limits, which accumulate month to month, which means that until an employees reaches 200,000 year to date fees (Cell E30) they are paid the commission corresponding to the current scale (cells Q3 - Q9 correspond to Scales in cells G3-H4 to G9-H10. Once the employee exceeds the threshhold, they are paid a different rate. If in the course of the month the scale is crossed, they are paid a commission on the monthly fees up to the threshold, and then a commission on the remaining at the increased rate. It could be possible that numerous scales be crossed in the course of a month, which complicates matters.
