Auctioning Algorithm Proof

I would like to see proof of the concept that: "multiple buyers and sellers can come together and trade items as individuals, but purchase and sell in combinations if required." So, you will need to demonstrate that this system of shopping for the best price on items can be implemented safely, effectively and securely. I think to properly prove this you will need to provide the following items: -A DB to keep track of items, users, bids, prices, transactions etc. (I haven't gotten this yet, but I could probably design it very quickly just to get you started). -An administrative interface to create items and item categories for sale. -A membership interface where end users can navigate the database for things to buy and sell anonymously without fear of having their data seen or stolen. This interface will allow them to bid on items being offered, as well as offer items they would like to sell. -The algorithm/code to provide the following functions: 1) Sort offers on each item by the best sale price offer 2) Sort offers on each item by best purchase price offer 2) Sort through all items in the DB to find the best cumulative price for purchasing multiple items. 3) Provide a means by which we can complete the sale when a buyer and seller have agreed on a price and quantity, without either party knowing who their partner is. As far as time frame goes, I'm eager to see the concept proven and demonstrated, however, I'm reasonable. I would appreciate to see this in a week but I could wait for as long as a month for a great product. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform I'm open to seeing this implemented on any platform. The main purpose of this project is to see an implementation of the concept in a workable web format. However, I'm far more inclined to see this done using Open Source tools and products that Closed/Proprietary tools.
