Hi Guys,
This project is conceptually simple.
The Domain name is "[login to view URL]"
The idea is for little Johnny to be able to post a wish list indexed using an Email or something that Aunt Millie on the other side of the world can log onto so she knows what little Johnny wants for Christmas.
Now;
I don't want to have to index thousands of products on the site.
What I want to do is have a Christmas themed landing page where Little Johnny can post his list, an access point where Aunt Millie can find it, and hyperlinks to various retailers that little Johnny is going to list for Aunt Millie so she knows where she can go to to go shopping.
When Aunt Millie clicks on the hyperlink and buys something, I as an affiliate of that retailer will get a commishion.
The idea is to use the web site as a portal to the retailers e-commerce sites and still qualify for the affiliate commission by way of the footprint from my site.
I also want to have, like all registries, a way to eliminate a gift after it has been bought eliminating the potential for little Johnny to get 20 Ipods for christmas.
I think that about covers it.
I'm not a web guy so please forgive me if I make it sound simple.
I've been told there's more to it than meets the eye.
Thanks for your help, John
