I need a product configurator created for a networking hardware client. The client wants a feature on their website which allows a visitor to enter values for expected bandwitth usage, etc. and as a result, have any of various products recommended. I am a consultant/designer used to create collateral and perform site design and light maintenance. I hired a programmer to do this, he got patially done and I have never heard from him again... nothing bad happened between us, he simply disappeared during the project. I bring that up because what is done can be viewed at a link I will send to interested parties, along with my client's comments on what it would take to finish the job.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation of the product on the client's server 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
## Platform
Following are from client's notes to me about their operating environment: We have three web servers that participate in our overall design: (1) A system that the public accesses. It contains all the web pages minus the PDF files. It is a UNIX system running Apache. We pay Interland for hosting the server. (2) A mirror system This a UNIX system that runs Apache and mirrors the above site. It will eventually replace the external site when we bring down our PacBell Internet feed and transfer all services to the Qwest circuits. We can keep the external site as a load balancing and fail safe server. This server uses a Perl script to mirror, and backup the above site. (3) One server houses all the PDF files for download. This is a Dell mulit-processor Windows NT server running Microsoft IIS web server. We currently use it for remote employees to use Outlook Web Mail. It has sufficient disk to hold the 700MB of PDF's that were on the external server.
