Chat Translator in Flash/PHP chat

This is for a dating site, www.datelatina.com. I will be buying the DatingPro open source script for this. There is a chat and A/V feature in this. I will want it customized for translation. Work will start ASAP. The chat feature is in FLASH with a PHP back-end.

After reviewing some options, I think the Google API might be the best way to go for chat translations. If any coder wants to research a better alternative I am open to that as well.

After reviewing many of the dating site scripts, I have decided that DatingPro is the best for me. I am open to changing my mind based on your research. I still haven't purchased it and I won't until I get feedback from you that everything I want to do in this project is possible with DatingPro. The previous project bid you made for this was different. This one should be easier since the chat feature is already created and built into the site. You will not be involved in installing or designing the site. Only in customizing the chat feature. Please take a look at this and revise the quote.

CHAT TRANSLATOR:

I want to create multi-lingual chat capabilities. Mainly just Spanish/English/Portuguese.

Please go to [url removed, login to view] to read about their chat program and even do the live demo to see what it's like. Please advise me if this chat feature would be able to be customized to support multi-lingual chatting.

I was thinking that the chat area could be split in half, one side with the original text of both users and to the right of that could be the translated text of the other user. There should also be an option for the user to check to see if his text can be translated before sending it. For example, if there are words or phrases that aren't understood.

The user should also be able to disable this chat feature and sort of minimize it into a corner of the chat area.

There should also be an "on-demand" mode where not everything is translated but only when the user clicks an icon to do see that particular line translated.
