Needing a complete redesign of my wordpress blog into a blog/website hybrid. I have a .PSD pixel perfect design file almost ready to go with a final design, just need someone to implement it. The version attached here is 95% i would say. It will be a scrolling site with cake layers with a moving and locking nav bar like [login to view URL] Will have a simplistic mobile/responsive site too which I havent done yet and may come as a separate project. Some details of the main non mobile site include:
Code design requirements
1. Ability to change large splash photo in wordpress dashboard if possible and change text
2. Splash photo area will rotate. Pic will fade in as color, fade to black and white and text will appear, then fade out and rotate to the next. About 5 images. Responsive to a certain point for desktops and laptop monitors.
3. One of the splash photos (the one shown here) will have rotating text like nissan SHIFT commercials. skip to 0:55, see the rotating text [login to view URL]
4. The blog post area (9 rectangle images) will reconfigure depending on what the user searches or what category he/she wants to see.
5. For blog posts, I must be able to pick a featured image so that it appears here on the front page.
6. Once a user clicks on a blog post, it pops up in a "lightbox." I basically dont want users to go too "deep" into a site. Just 1 layer deep.
7. Colorful nav bars will fade and change in color as the user hits each section
8. Need this site hooked up to social. Looking for your suggestions here on what is possible.
9. See image to see commenting box in each blog post lightbox
Other technical requirements
1. Turn around time about 1 month at start of project. It is not stringent although Ive had many programmers go half way and bail. Not cool.
2. Compatibility, as many browsers as possible.
3. Install for me on my webspace
4. Design it so that it doesnt break on wordpress updates! Ive also had coders who made themes that broke before on wp updates.
Also open to any suggestions you expert coders may have. Thanks! Looking forward to finding the right programmer to get my site developed and I will definitely credit you at the bottom of the site as long as the job is well done =)
