The site will allow a comic book collector to keep track of his/her collection. You view the site as a possible commercial site that you might market to collectors for a one time fee or possibly offer it as a service. As such you realize that the visual qualities of the site are important. Of course CSS would be useful here in order to make it easy to give the site a different look with minimal [login to view URL] site will use JavaScript to validate user input as much as possible before it is transmitted to the server. The database processing and programming will be handled by either Perl or PHP scripts.
The database component will consist of at least four tables. The first table will simply consist of the actual titles of the various comic books and the publishers of the comics. The second table will consist of the published issue information for each of the titles. The third table consists of numeric and text grades, and the fourth table will consist of the actual comic book issues the collector has in their possession. You may include other tables that you deem useful.
