Custom Joomla Image Menu

I need an image menu with fade in/out effects identical to yoogallery. Example: please see [login to view URL] On the right side is a yoogallery module. It displays images from a folder and then when clicked on, it opens up the image in a lightbox. I would like to keep that module on some pages of the site, but on others I need an image menu with the exact appearance of the yoogallery module, however instead of opening an image in a lightbox it acts as a menu sending you to an article. It should be based on the joomla main menu module complete with menu levels, which displays the image thumbs and plus when I hover over the link, the tool tip displays the linked article title. Thanks
