I currently have a price comparison site using pricetapestry.
A product page such as [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] shows any result from all merchants containing the "q" query.
We have an amazon script integrated that fetches results from the API, but there have been some problems (shown as the amazon result(s) at the bottom of price comparison)
## Deliverables
I currently have a price comparison site using pricetapestry.
A product page such as [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] shows any result from all merchants containing the "q" query.
We have an amazon script integrated that fetches results from the API, but there have been some problems (shown as the amazon result(s) at the bottom of price comparison)
The things that need to be done are:
Non amazon
1. Only show 2 results from each merchant (top 2 most expensive)
Amazon
2. Sometimes an error like the following is received (eg. on [login to view URL])- this needs to be fixed:
"Warning: main([login to view URL] LE32R88BD LCD&SearchIndex=Blended) [[login to view URL]]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request in /home/latestel/public_html/html/[login to view URL] on line 31"
3. If no results are found for Amazon, then no amazon link should be found
4. If multiple results from amazon are found, then 2 (most expensive) products should be shown
5. Currently the "include" code is:
" <? include("[login to view URL]".$q."&SearchIndex=Blended");
?>"
This needs to be made relative, not absolute, as sometimes it errors due to a DNS problem.
6. Occasionally errors occur on different products with the amazon results - these need to be identified and fixed.
Files:
html/[login to view URL] - File that shows prices and includes amazon prices file
/cgi-bin/apf4/[login to view URL] - file that shows amazon search results
You'll be given full FTP access.
Please see [login to view URL] to view relevant files. The actual Amazon script is fully complete and documented.
Project max price is based on 2.5hrs (max) work x $10 - $20
