For a CSS expert, this is a fast and simple project:
1) The left-hand DHTML menu at [login to view URL] needs to be expanded to match the new width of the left-hand column (old: 130px, new: 175px).
2) The sub-categories (same menu above) are cut-off and need to be displayed completely (example: [login to view URL]).
3) In IE8, there are display problems: the entire page appears left-aligned instead of centered, the orange background in the header is missing, and the main content overlaps the left-hand column.
4) There is a red "+" symbol in this menu for sub-categories that contain other sub-categories (you can see this working properly here [login to view URL]). On the new design page ([login to view URL]), this does not work properly (all of the "+" symbols appear under the first menu option).
We are not able to change the doctype. These problems MUST be fixed without changing:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
The result should be cross-browser compatible.
The stylesheet for the menu can be found here: [login to view URL]
The stylesheet for the rest of the page can be found here: [login to view URL]
Changes to either .css file must be explained to us in detail. If changes to html are required, you will provide the html changes and we will implement them. FTP is not available for this project.
