We have an application coded with Delphi that can run inenvironments with XP/NT/2003/98 boxes. The application listens for keycombinations on the installed computers and will distribute messages toa central server when specific combinations are pressed.
There is a problem that messages from some clients never reaches the server. We want to change the way the application communicates with the server from using permanent socket-connections to non-permanent connections. In addition to this we also want to add logging in both the client and the server of the connection(s) so we can be able to debug these kind of errors. There is also a problem when the client gets a message from the server and a screensaver is running. It prevents the client from showing its message.?
So the changes we want done are:
* Make the server/client use non-persistent sockets. We want it to take up / down the connection as needed.
* Add logging to the client and the server for at least the communication bit.
* Make the client able to override a running screensaver and show messages on the display.
## Deliverables
After signing a NDA you will be provided will the complete sourcecode of the application in its present form. The code is wellstructured and should be easy to get into. Any bid must includetesting, bug fixing and code documentation. You will also be providedwith remote access to a test environment.
