I am need help in selecting a vendor for a project I am working on. I am interested in vendors with excellent customer service.
I have 3 products that I have defined and have a list of about 20 vendors I am interested in. I do not have the time to handle the communications, coordination, and information collection. It is not required that the same vendor build all 3 products.
Work will provide the requirements for the 3 products, and will also provide a list of vendors. I need to collect the following information:
First, verify that the vendor is an ODM (can design and build)
Cost for Designing the Product
Lead time for Designing the Product
Cost for 10 Samples
Lead time for 10 Samples
Cost per unit for Volume production (volumes will be provided)
Lead time for first volume delivery
Does the vendor expect any difficulties?
What are the payment Terms?
Is credit available? What is the process for applying for credit?
Can they provide reference customers?
I then need a report (including a table) summarizing the findings with a recommendation for the vendor(s).
This is a pretty straightforward exercise.
