I. DEVELOP WINDOWS PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS ME TO CREATE SELF-CONTAINED, USER-EXECUTABLE APP:
A. FOR IPAD/IPHONE
B. WITH USER INTERFACE THAT CAN BE CUSTOMIZED TO INCLUDE AN APP-SPECIFIC NAME (AND RELATED TEXT) WHEN APP IS CREATED
C. THAT INCORPORATES DATA FROM FILE (E.G., XML) CONTAINING ONE OR MORE BOOKMARK DIRECTORIES (ARRANGED IN TREE STRUCTURE) FEATURING NAMES/URLS OF ONE OR MORE WEBSITES
D. THAT WHEN EXECUTED BY USER, WILL:
1. SEARCH HIS iPAD/iPHONE TO SEE WHICH BROWSERS ARE INSTALLED
2. ALLOW HIM TO SELECT BROWSER(S) TO BE UPDATED
3. ADD THE BOOKMARKS INCLUDED WITH THE APP, ARRANGED IN APPROPRIATE TREE STRUCTURE, TO CHOSEN BROWSER(S), WHICH MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
a) Safari
b) Atomic
More detail:
Basically, when app is executed, it will add a set of bookmarks embedded within app (arranged in tree structure) to one or more of iPad/iPhone user's browsers.
The app-creating program will allow me to create apps that have unique names and bookmark sets embedded within them, depending on user's interests.
For example, if user is interested in having bookmarks for sites about animals in his browser, I would find/save them in a data file (whatever format works best, perhaps XML).
I want to preserve tree structure, so user might end up with, say, top-level bookmark folder called "animals," containing sub-folders called "dogs," "cats," etc., containing bookmarks for sites about those animals.
When I run program that creates app, it will access the bookmark details from a data file I've created and construct the app, with customized interface name (e.g., "Animal Bookmarks").
Then, when the user executes app it will automatically add those bookmarks to their iPad/iPhone browser(s).
This saves them the time involved in finding relevant sites and bookmarking themselves.
