Project Description: We are a Sydney based company and are looking for a responsible project manager online who can facilitate the completion of a SAS program that we have built for our company and its launch. Our company is so excited about this project. This is a 3 month contract. The successful launch of this product will product will put our company ahead of the game in the web industry and we are looking for someone to share that success with us. That person could be you. You will be working directly with the CEO of the company with the support of the key business partners who are stakeholders of the project. You will also be responsible for the management of the team to launch the product who will also support you in achieving your personal and professional objectives. This role is for someone who loves results and will do whatever it takes to get those results. A strong mind, determination and willingness to push boundaries of those around them to get the result of the project is desired. If you are someone who loves going beyond their comfort zone and work as a team, then this is definitely for you. The ideal person who suits this role will have the following qualities; * Focused on the results of the project. * Focused on achieving results fast. You are someone who doesn't like to wait if there is someone or something that is stopping progress. You do what it takes to overcome that milestone. * Good understanding of online project management technology and also apply this as your bible. * Use the terms milestones, dates, costs, timeline, scope - we are after a project manager who knows the technicalities of web development * Have worked with multiple countries and developers and designers * Is able to empower his core team and elevate them into greater roles. * Able to liaise with stakeholders of the projects * Produces weekly and daily reports for projects that are informative * Have been involved in web development project management * Have been involved in product development and release to market. For example, when I work on a project, I pay attention to several important areas such as: --who is the targeted audience, and how will they best be served --which technologies will get us to the point of delivery best? Perhaps, open-source (PHP & MySQL) vs. licensed (ASP.NET & SQL server) --who are the constituents, and what are they expecting? Has there been others' money invested? Do they need a certain deadline to be met? --how often will feedback be necessary and with whom? Ultimately, the success of a project depends on a well-rounded approach, working from general to specific in terms of implementation.
