It seems like a simple project, but I haven't found such software anywhere. I would like to have a software built that would send me an email the moment my laptop is unplugged and also when the battery reaches 75%, 50% and 25%, regardless of being plugged or not. And I would also like a trayicon balloon type of alert to be displayed simultaneously at the above conditions. Requirements: - It would have to be a trayicon application. When right clicked, two pop-up options would be presented: Settings and Close. Settings would take me to a window where I could enter my email, password, SLL enabled/disable, smtp server and port. - No body necessary for the email, just the subject would include "Laptop just unplugged", "Battery in 75%", "Battery in 50%" and "Battery in 25%". - I would appreciate if the code could be sent to me as well, so maybe VB.Net would be more convenient for further compilations by me. Part of the reason is that I would like to add my own .ico for the trayicon. That is what I initially expect from the software. Hi, I am a VB.Net developer. I have worked with battery status information before so it can be done. The total cost for the project would be $50 and could be complete within a day. How do you intend it to send the e-mails though - would you like to make use of public servers (ie/ googlemail) although there is the potential for it to be blocked or you can use a free service (sendgrid) as long as you don't use more than ~700 emails per day. Hello, I have been developing since 1995, and since then, have come across a lot of issues/up-gradations/enhancements and successfully implemented them. Managing the urgency for the clients, in any timezone is the best aspect i have managed. My main development technology since then is VB, ASP, /.Net, C#, SQL Server/Oracle.
