Hi, there! I've read that you're looking for someone to transcribe your audio/video files and I would love to apply for the project. I have a degree in Mass Communications and has experience in transcription in local radio and print media. I have also been writing and editing materials so I understand the value of typing accurately and efficiently. I have been a research trainee in a petroleum company and has 3 years administrative experience as well. I am a smart worker, and I have the ability to meet strict deadlines. I am well-versed in the English language and I pride myself with my ability to type fast and accurately. If given an opportunity I would love to focus and work with this project. English is my 2nd language and I've been using it since my childhood. I'm a wide reader of various fiction novels from sci-fi to military/spy to thriller/crime genre. I actually have a small library inside my room which consists of 300 novels. I have a vast collection of box sets DVD too and this helps me further improved my English language proficiency. I can understand different accent, too as I was able to work in 3 different countries in South East Asia. I have previous experiences in transcribing audio articles such as interviews, board meetings and podcasts. With this, one of the things I focus on before submitting to my client is 100% proofreading. In my previous stint in manufacturing companies, Quality Assurance or Quality Control is the most essential process in every product. In transcription's world, proofreading is analogous to QA/QC. I proofread my work for at least 2 hours on every hour of audio/video recording, because I truly believe on it's importance. I'm eager to finish any given job without jeopardizing high quality work. I do things right on the first time. Though, I'm new in this field, I can give my best to satisfy my client and provide the best result.
