Hello
My name is Torben, and I am a half-British, half-Danish translator. My mixed heritage not only means that I am completely bilingual, but that I have a solid understanding of both British and Danish culture, idioms and word use. This allows me to effectively convey both the meaning and the gist of my translations into the target language.
I have several year's experience with translation work, and my portfolio includes outsourced work from translation companies and press articles for Danish academic institutes. I have also recently had several projects working on software translations.
My standard fee is $50 per 1000 words, so translating all 730 words would be $36.50, with the $5 freelancer.com charge taking the total cost to $41.5.
As for the sample texts:
Danes import a lot of English into their language, so in some cases, very little translation is required.
"Browser", for example, would remain as "Browser" (en browser, flere browsere).
"Downloads" would remain as "Downloads" (en download, flere downloads) or be translated to "Overførsler" (en overførsel, flere overførsler), which literally means "Transfers", but could mean any kind of transfer.
"Videos" would become "Videoer" (en video, flere videoer) or "Filmklip" (et filmklip, flere filmklip). Literally "Film cuts".
"Playlists" would become "Spillelister" or just "Playlister"
"Settings" would become "Indstillinger"
I trust this is satisfactory and I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Torben
