A BackOffice system to interface with various Point Of Sale Systems in the C-Store/ Gas Station Industry. The Specification is intended to facilitate the transfer of configuration and reporting data between the POS and Back Office systems. The Specification is comprised primarily of a collection of XML Schema (.xsd) documents describing various document structures for configuration and reporting of data. Configuration documents permit the exchange of configuration data between the Back Office and POS systems, while reporting documents permit the transmission of reports regarding sales and other activities.
Looking for an application to be implemented using the .net framework and SQL. The application must communicate to a mapped drive shared by the Point of Sale. These folders vary with different POS systems but always either the "Import"(data sent from BackOffice) or "Export"(Data coming to the BackOffice, usually Sales data from the Point-of-Sale).
Looking for an application silimar to the Windows Desktop application 'Spotify' music player. The purpose of the application is to maintain a single site or multiple sites "pricebook'(products. upcs, retail, cost...etc).
The system must be able to manage the following:
1. Product inventory
2. Fuel inventory(Fuel Deliveries, Fuel Tank Inventory..etc)
3. Lottery Inventory(Scratchoff ticket management as well as online lottery)
4. Daily Cash Balancing
5. Quickbooks Exporting
6. Pricebook Maintenance(ablility to change multiple products: retail, description, pricegrouping...etc)
8. Vendors(Invoices for incoming goods)
A friendly User Interface to be used by managers and owners. The system will also require a Mobile app to allow for the scanning in of Vendors as well for Inventory reconciliation. The app must also be able to show reports as well such as fuel inventory levels for a site or listed multiple sites. The Mobile app should be a scaled down version of the desktop app to allow for use away from a desktop such as barcode printing to a bluetooth label printer while on the sales floor, updating the pricebook(products) to be sent to the POS and lottery ticket management by shift(which will be discussed further).
The application should be able to help manage the daily operations of a Retail store owner. Keeping track of inventory, learning the sales for products and being able to generate orders automatically for specific vendors. Reduce shrinkage or losses that occur from internal theft. Comparing multi-sites sales data for multi-site owners. All of these things are possible through the use of the XML document exchange between the BackOffice and the Point of Sale System.
Any other details will be discussed further with more supplemental documents based upon the interest and expertise of your capabilities. As the core of the POS-BackOffice is developed, other modules will need to be developed in the future so an application and database that can grow is vital for successful implementation. Data must be stored through the use of SQL and NOT XML.
Any other project designs or recommendations are welcomed with the proof of any Use Case Studies. Will need a developer who speaks good English to be able to communicate with along the course of the development process.
I can also assist with desktop meetings and screen sharing to give you a more clear idea of the type of application necessary.
