PROJECT OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE
The website is for a local guide, helping users to spot promotions, stay tuned with local events and activities, find useful information about a country/city, a sort of city portal (e.g. [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view]).
The site must support French and English.
The site must be maximized to attract thousands of users daily. The system must be scalable and easily extendable to multiple countries and optimized for low connectivity (256/512 Kb mainly).
The website must have Internal search engine, be optimized for mobile access and SEO/SEM optimization, integrate Google maps and accessible by all web browsers.
The site will be composed of approximately 15-20 pages.
We estimate a working period of 1-1,5 months (?) to create, test and deliver the website with graphics starting asap.
•Web directory (like Yellow Page or [url removed, login to view]): A differentiation applies between basic accounts and premium accounts in term of visible data fields;
•Search engine + Search Filters;

INTERACTIVITY AND USERS
The website allows for some interactivity between users and the system. User can comment on articles, promotion, products, share articles and places (typical sharing buttons: print, send via mail or FB, etc.), submit articles and videos (approval needed by the administrator).
User can subscribe to the site or log in via Facebook or Twitter and simply subscribe to the newsletter.
All data contents will be pulled from businesses, then they will have their own page.
SITE AND FUNCTIONALITIES INTERCONNECTIONS
Site functionalities are connected and information frequently updated and ruling. The administrator chooses what info post online.
A company posting an event in the Event section will have it displayed in its personal page (web directory).
The administrator must be capable to add pictures, text, offers in a simple way, without having IT programming skills.
The administrator will have a dedicated page and dispose of ky analytics and statistics to track indicators (Google Analytics, Facebook Insight, others). Different access rights and controls are provided to employees.
We aim to start rapidly with a relatively complete website and over time add functionalities and complexity.
We foresee the development in a modular approach. The list can be changed according to the IT developer suggestions.
Evaluate feasibility and costs to add:
