I have recently moved a weblog, which was powered by Movable Type, to a new host, and a higher version of MT.
However, in the process, all of the blog entries and archive pages (between 300-400 pages in total) got new "friendly URLs". For example, the old URL was [login to view URL] and the new URL is [login to view URL]
What I would like you to do is create a .htaccess page with 301 redirects, which maps each of the old URLs to the new, correct URLs.
The old site is still live under a generic name (the one given by the hosting company), so you will be able to access both old and new versions of the weblog to compare.
When you are finished, and when I upload the .htaccess file, all incoming links to my weblog pages should be working again (at the moment they get a 404 error).
