Social Media Marketer for Journalist, Author

Social Media Expert, Marketer I am a journalist, non-fiction, and fiction writer in need of a social media marketer who is adept at posting on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Pinterest, Linkedin and Snapchat. My main goal at the moment is to build subscribers to my Substack listing “Cultural Politics For Those Who Care.” I have begun listing to the site by posting my first paid subscriber content. I will be posting one to two posts a week. I now have 3 subscribers, two yearly and one monthly and my goal is 100 subscribers minimum. I also need to be publicizing my last two books. One is the second novel in a 40s Noir LA Trilogy, titled A Hello to Arms which deals with the defense industry buildup after the war. The first novel, Left of Eden, is about the Hollywood blacklist and the third novel, which I am writing now and will be out by the beginning of next year, The Precinct With The Golden Arm, is about Mexican gangs, the LAPD and Big Pharma in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of LA. I am also a television, film, arts, literature and culture critic. My current book Diary of a Digital Plague Year: Corona Culture, Serial TV and The Rise of the Streaming Services needs reviews. My last work of criticism and analysis, Birth of the Binge: Serial TV and The End of Leisure, was well reviewed but needs to find a wider audience beyond academia. I live full-time in Paris and my three earlier books (Film Noir, American Workers and Postwar Hollywood; Class, Crime and International Film Noir; Cold War Expressionism: Perverting the Politics of Perception) as well as the current ones need to be translated into French which means applying to French publishers which I have not done. In addition, I was a film and television professor for many years and am looking for online classes in that area. I also give talks at museums, including for an exhibition at the American University of Cairo that was named one of Artforum’s “Best International Exhibits of 2021,” and a talk at the Los Angeles Museum of Latin American Art. I am also a writing coach and have several clients in both fiction, non-fiction and screenwriting who I am currently helping. I would like to add more clients. I broadcast for two radio stations, in Paris and the U.S., write for a British daily newspaper and for three websites. I recently applied for a position as Arts Page Editor for a newspaper and am looking to apply to more papers in that role. I also have a blog, Bro on the Global Television Beat¸ which has much of my criticism but I have not tried to get advertisers. In general, I have an abundance of product, talent and ambition and need someone to help me be better known so that I can monetize my work.
