The project is to program a Raspberry Pi to function as an aquarium controller / monitor. The initial set up is to monitor temperature, PH and ORP values of the aquarium water (see examples in the links below) [login to view URL] [login to view URL] The current values should be displayed on a HMI within the LAN (preferably on an Android or IOS device) and /or on a display connected to the Raspberry Pi. The values should also be logged and historical values should be presented on a history graph with hourly, daily and weekly timeframe. Alarms for high / low (set values) for temperature, PH and ORP should be incorporated and sent as e-mail alerts to set e-mail adress. Hardware should be selected and agreed before start up of the project and will be purchased separately from the project. I'm an experienced developer with a keen interest in the Raspberry Pi. I've worked on many Pi related projects using various input/output boards. I've used a Pi in a similar way to monitor my hot water and heating system. Logging data from temperature and distance sensors to a database and displaying values on a GUI. I've also previously worked on a project to monitor motion, temperature and humidity and email the values to the client when alarm values are exceeded.
